We are very pleased and honoured to announce we have been nominated for Studio of the Year at this year’s Nova Scotia Music Awards! On top of that, our very own Thomas Stajcer has been nominated for Engineer of the Year and Joel has been nominated again as Producer of the Year! Thank you very much to Music Nova Scotia for these nods!
What’s more is the amount of New Scotland Yard projects that have been nominated. Christina Martin has garnered herself 5 nominations on the back of her 2015 release “It’ll Be Alright” (producer Dale Murray is also nominated in the Producer category), Gypsophilia have been recognized with 4 nominations (including Recording of the Year with “Night Swimming”), Mo Kenney also gets 4 nominations for “In My Dreams” (also up for Recording of the Year), Roxy & The Underground Soul Sound are up for 2 awards in the New Artist and Urban categories, Old Man Leudecke is recognized in the Americana/Bluegrass category for “I Never Sang Before I Met You,” David Myles’ “Santa Never Brings Me A Banjo” gets a nomination for Video of the Year, and our Joel Plaskett is up for Entertainer of the Year. Also, our friends, past and future clients Mardeen have 2 nominations for “Silver Fang.” Congratulations all around!
While indeed the records mentioned above are all great, they are not the only great records made this past year, so congratulations goes out to all nominees across all categories. Thank you for making Nova Scotia an incredible place for music.
